Nancy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 20 years experience in the field of addiction and co-occuring mental health disorders. She trained under William Glaser in Reality Therapy, a problem-solving, goal-focused treatment approach, and with Salvatore Manuchin in Structural Family Therapy, an outcome-oriented treatment modality. She has written and implemented numerous therapeutic programs for treatment facilities, and as one of Tribe’s Founders was instrumental in designing a unique philosophy and mission.

In creating Tribe, Nancy wanted to combined the best of what she’d learned and witnessed through her career, merging evidence-based treatment approaches with an innovative treatment philosophy addressing the chronic, rather than acute, nature of addiction and mental health disorders. Tribe is a place where treatment meets every client where he or she is. Her holistic approach includes therapies that best support the whole person within the family system, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to reduce cravings and facilitate a more comfortable and focused recovery, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) for anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, Dialectical (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), along with Mindfulness training, Neurofeedback, and Sound Baths.

With her authentic personality, unique sense of humor, and direct communication style, Nancy has helped thousands of addicts and their families find hope during times of trauma, grief, and loss, when families are devastated by addiction and mental illness.
